Kids End of Summer Fling at Common Roots BiHi

On Thursday August 25, Common Roots Urban Farm BiHi will host an end of summer community event. The event will run from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. and feature a range of games and activities for children.

Accessibility advocate Milena Khazanavicius, who is blind, will kick-off the event at 4:30 p.m. with a kid focused workshop on blind and partially sighted gardening. The fling will then continue with activities including seed bomb making, natural watercolour painting and a farm scavenger hunt.

The evening will include live music and community members are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the festivities.

Be sure to tell your friends and family! We hope to see you this Thursday for the perfect way to wrap up the summer, in a urban farm kind of way.
